Two Charged Regarding Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Attack
Formal charges have been brought against two men related to a suitcase robbery where a substance thought to be pepper spray led to people being hurt at London's Heathrow Airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and two counts of administering a noxious substance, according to official statements.
This legal action stems from an probe of an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Before the assault occurred, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after getting out of a car park lift, authorities reported.
A three-year-old girl was caught up in the incident during the incident. A total of five individuals required hospital care and were later discharged.
The incident – which authorities stated was isolated and not considered a terror-related act – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a brief period.
